Now We're Alive

As tradition requires, Tom must choose the girl of his dreams, eyes shut, by the sound of her voice alone. He must find her, guided solely by the memory of her voice. During his quest, Tom pictures her vividly, and names her Jeanne. The young woman that reveals herself is not the one he pictured. He rejects her, but his father assures him that she is the one he chose. He must marry Lea. What of his desire for Jeanne, and what will Lea think?
