1896. With the discovery of gold, 100,000 prospectors headed for the Klondike. Dawson City became a place where desperados, saloon keepers, gamblers, dance hall girls, churchmen and law-makers were thrown together. Gray portrays the Gold Rush through the lives of priest Father Judge, entrepreneur Belinda Mulrooney, writer Jack London, British journalist Flora Shaw, Sam Steele of the Mounties, and prospector William Haskell.
