A cuppa tea and an aspirin

Book 2003

For the dozen families who live in court No. 5 near the Liverpool docks, it's more than a place to live, it is a community. Their tiny, tenement houses, arranged around a courtyard, are among the worst slums in Europe. But the warmth of family, friends and neighbours is a constant, as everyone shares both the hardships and small triumps of their relentless fight for survival.
