Pothooks Marrs, convicted murderer who had escaped from prison, signs on as a camp cook for the Pickle Bar spread, hoping to elude Kettle Cory, a detective who knows Marrs' past, when he discovers, too late, that Kettle is one of the Pickle Bar crew.
