Ten years have passed since the events told in DeMille's "The Gold Coast" and John Sutter has finally returned to the Gold Coast, that stretch of land on Long Island emblematic of American wealth and power. His ex-wife, Susan, is also back and while their passion for each other is re-kindled both find themselves in danger from the son of the Mafia don Susan killed all those years ago.
