Choose my plate : a Lunch Lady's guide to healthier eating
The Lunch Lady is back to tell everyone about the new USDA "MyPlate" dietary guidelines. The food pyramid is gone, replaced with a simple plate icon. The new icon, MyPlate is easy to understand: one half of your place should be filled with fruits and vegetables, with whole graisn and lean protein on the other half. Low-fat dairy on the side, such as a cup of skim milk or yogurt is also suggested.
