"To view image clock on "Access Content Now" above." This landscape painting by Adrian Vinish, “Clouds Rolling In, Anglin Lake #1” depicts a view over Anglin Lake in Northern Saskatchewan. Situated between Great Blue Heron Provincial Park and Prince Albert National Park, this area is well-known for dense forests and freshwater lakes. The small size of this painting, and the large, textured brushstrokes suggest that this is a quick sketch that Vinish deftly painted “en plein air”, while out in the landscape. Adrian Michael Vinish (1954- ) was born in Wakaw, Saskatchewan. He earned his BFA (1972-76) in painting, drawing and sculpture at the University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon. At convocation he was awarded the Judy Poole Fine Arts Prize as the most distinguished graduate in his program. In addition to his painting practice, Vinish worked as an instructor with the University of Saskatchewan Extension Division, and then earned his MFA (1982-84) from the University of Saskatchewan. From 1994 – 96, Vinish served as Director/Curator with the Moose Jaw Museum and Art Gallery. His artwork has been exhibited provincially and is held in several public collections, including the Mann Art Gallery (Prince Albert) and Dunlop Art Gallery (Regina). He currently lives and works in Edmonton, Alberta
