During a de-briefing from his last assignment, Clay, is unknowingly administered a drug called "Oblivion". It destroys brain cells and causes permanent memory loss. Clay soon realizes that he cannot rely on anyone at his agency and with nowhere else to go, he appeals to his ex-wife for help.
