Charlie Wilcox's Great War
The year is 1919. The Great War has come to an end, and Charlie Wilcox, battle-weary and fatigued, has finally returned home to Brigus, Newfoundland. When he left, he was a boy of fourteen. Now, at seventeen, he is a man, his childhood left behind on the battlefields. His homecoming is all he could have hoped for. Yet he is burdened by a terrible secret, one that he fears will inflict more grief on a village that has already suffered so much.
