This glittering world
Ben Bailey, an adjunct history professor and part-time bartender, walks out of his home in Flagstaff, Arizona, to get the newspaper and finds Rick Begay, a young Navajo man, badly beaten on his lawn, and when Rick dies, Ben sets out to learn the truth about what happened, and begins to question his own life, job, fiancee, and his feelings for Rick's sister.
