Happy Days Are Here Again

Happy Days Are Here Again

Sound Recording 2015

On the night of April 17th 1941 during one of the worst air raids of the London 'blitz,' a land-mine fell outside a small hotel in Jermyn Street, just off Piccadilly. Unfortunately, among the fatal casualties was one of Britain's most popular vocalists; his name was, of course Al Bowlly. However, out of the ashes of that smoking hotel, like the fabled Phoenix rising from the flames, grew a legend; the legend of Al Bowlly.
