After Princess Aurora is sent to live in seclusion to keep her from falling prey to a curse, she is tricked by a witch and falls into a cursed sleep which can only be broken by a kiss from her true love. When the fairy Maleficent is stripped of her wings by a man who becomes king, Maleficent curses his infant princess daughter Aurora, only to realize that Aurora may be the one person to reunite the human and fairy worlds.
