Mary Ann Cotton : Britain's first female serial killer
A criminology professor and former prison governor explores the life and crimes of this Victorian female serial killer. Born in 1832, Cotton has been relatively unknown, although she committed her murders years before Jack the Ripper's spree, and had more victims. She was hung in 1873 for poisoning her stepson.
