This loving land
In 1852, following the death of her mother, Summer Kuykendall and her brother journey to the McLean ranch in Texas, to live under the protection of Sam McLean, a family friend. They arrive to find that he has been murdered, but his enigmatic son, Slater, undertakes to honour his father's promise.
