Sadako and the thousand paper cranes
Tells the true story of Sadako Sasaki, a 12-year old Japanese girl whose life has touched the hearts of millions of people. Inspired by an old legend, Sadako began folding paper cranes in hopes of overcoming an illness she developed as a result of the bombing of Hiroshima. Today, she is a contemporary heroine of peace.
