Red light
It's two years after the death of Tim Hess, Merci's partner and father of her child. She is now dating Mike McNally and even if she doesn't passionately love Mike, there's a sort of comfortable inevitability to it all. That explodes when a young prostitute is found murdered and Mike emerges as the prime suspect.
