Man without a gun : a western duo
The Crescent Star refers to a mark on the infamous Gila River Kid. That mark is the only thing known about him. No one knows that he has gone straight and runs a cattle ranch under the name Sadler Carrel. In the title story, Jack Swift has served his sentence for horse stealing and leaves prison with a warning that it's illegal for a former convict to wear a gun.
