Shahnameh : the Persian book of kings
A collection of short stories and myths from Iran, describing kings, heroes, princesses, magical animals, demons, and more. Originally written as an epic poem by the poet Ferdowsi in the 10th century, this collection includes tales of the Simurgh, the giant bird who brings up an orphaned king; wicked King Zahhak and his man-eating snakes; and the hero Rustam and his son Sohrab.
