The ides of April
Flavia Albia, the adopted daughter of Marcus Didius Falco and Helena Justina, is working as a private informer in Rome during the reign of Domitian. She plies her trade in her father's old ramshackle digs at Fountain Court. Hired to help investigate a fatal accident, Flavia finds herself stuck with a truly awful client and a well-connected opponent. That is, until her client dies under what might be called "suspicious circumstances."
